Biography of Jim Tripoli
Our Composer In Residence
|
James Tripoli has been a lifelong
lover and creator of music since the age of four when he discovered that
he could avoid practicing piano by improvising at his lessons.
He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition from the
University of Connecticut where he studied with Hale Smith.
He has written and arranged vocal compositions for a wide variety
of purposes and audiences, including the Second Congregational Church of
Stafford in West Stafford, Connecticut, The Stafford Community Chorus,
The Treble Troubadours, Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church and The
Vernon Chorale, as well as numerous pieces for friends, family, and his
most constant audience, our Lord Jesus Christ.
James is available to
receive commissions of sacred choral works for many occasions.

O sing to the Lord
a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
tell of His salvation from day to day.
